i havent had this problem. but i agree that if people are taking advantage of this system then they should be suspended from any bidding for 24 to 48 hours and then they probably wouldnt do it again.that makes it fair for all the other x5 members.

It may be easy to go over the limit on bids, especially when the visual history is not shown over 7,000 bids. I think banning members is a bit harsh, unless they are constantly winning auctions by doing it. Maybe a tweak in the software to stop that bid going through would solve the problem. The bugs are certainly getting fewer though. Keep up the good work.

I have not noticed this either - like Dennis (1) I will often just auto-bid until the system stops me; no idea (I don't check) if that is the correct amount or not. Make sure you are definite the offender is doing this on purpose and not just making an honest mistake before suspending/cancelling them!

i agree with dennis that it is unfair to penalise someone for a bug that is not of their doing and also agree that if they win with unauthorised bids that the bids be cancelled and manually given to whoever would have won. also the bug showing losing when you have won has cost me a mobile phone that i did not know about until it was too late, when i asked for a manual confirmation i was told no go i had left it too late. oh well back to the drawing board and all that!!!LOL. so far i have not had the problem of over bidding that i am aware of as i do not check my bids either. i will from now on. have a good day and thank you for x5, chris

Not something I've noticed apart from a couple of times I've checked my bid history and have had 20001 bids but never anymore, but to say members will be cancelled and suspended is very unfair because I would assume this is something you would not be aware of. A lot of times I just do auto bid and keep bidding until the message comes up that you have used your 20000 bids or whatever the amount of allowable bids for that auction is and then i just move on to something else, not checking my bid history so would not know i had gone over. This is especially if you scatter your bids. If you start at a certain amount and just keep bidding until your bids are all gone you would probably notice because you get a range of $200 for your 20000 bids. So I think if this problem does occur then any bids over the allowed be not counted and X5 manually give win to whoever would have won if those bids had not been made. The worst bug with bid page is that on many occasions it shows you not winning when you are.
